1. How do I apply for admission to Ave Maria?
To apply for admission, simply contact the Marketing office at 901.386.3211. You will then be directed as to how to proceed.

2. What if there are no openings available? Is there a waiting list?
In the event there is no opening, there is a waiting list for interested parties anticipating the admission process for all programs offered at Ave Maria. To be placed on the waiting list, contact the Marketing office at 901.386.3211. You will be asked to provide the interested person’s name, address and phone number. The person will remain on the list for admission unless it is removed by you. When an opening is available, someone will contact you.

3. Who is responsible for admission to Ave Maria?
A care plan team is assigned to each admission. The team consists of a physician, nurse, social worker and admission coordinator.

4. How fast is the admission process?
In order to ensure the best placement and level of care for each resident, the length of the admission process can vary. The time it takes to gather medical data, assess the needs of the resident and complete paperwork depends on many factors including but not limited to accessibility, schedules of all involved including medical personnel, applicant, etc. It is our goal to move the process along as quickly as possible so the incoming resident can join our Ave Maria family.

5.  What type of information is needed for admission to Ave Maria?
A current medical history and physical examination is needed, along with a current TB test. A list of medications and current physician orders are also required.

6. Where can I find out about levels of care offered at Ave Maria?
Feel free to visit the Programs section of our website for a complete listing and description of our services. To discuss specific needs or for further information, feel free to contact our Marketing office at 901.386.3211.

7. What is the best time to contact Ave Maria to set up a tour or consultation?
We invite you to call us anytime, however, for best results, contacting us between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. will give our staff the best opportunity to serve you.

8. Does Ave Maria accept insurance?
Ave Maria’s Assisted Living accepts private pay and Long-Term Care insurance. The Skilled Nursing Home, which includes the Green House homes, accepts private pay, Long-Term Care Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.
