Dear Ave Maria Home family and friends:

Ave Maria Home announces that effective June 12, 2023, Patrick Taylor will become the organization’s Executive Director.

Patrick comes to Ave Maria from healthcare services provider, Optum Home & Community Care, formerly Prospero Health. Positions included Product Growth Manager (Strategy & Development) and Project Manager (Operational Performance). Previously, he served as Physician Practice Manager at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, working closely with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center where he played an integral role in the successful acquisition and expansion of UT Methodist Physicians Cardiology Group from UT Medical Group Division of Cardiology. His first job in the healthcare sector was with Sutherland Cardiology Clinic, a position he accepted after three years serving as a science teacher and soccer coach at Christian Brothers High School.

He is known for building strong and meaningful relationships with his staff, families, and the broader community—excelling in management, development, and community relations. He is passionate about creating an environment where our team can grow in their career and serving in the best interests of our residents.

“Ave Maria has a longstanding history of exceptional care for the elderly,” Taylor said. “We are at a pivotal moment in caring for our aging population. As I step into this role, I expect to continue the Ave Maria’s mission, while also strengthening and growing the organization to ensure it continues to thrive.”

Taylor earned his Master of Business Administration from Christian Brothers University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from Western Colorado University.

He is a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Council for the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Heart Transplant Program. He also serves as a spokesperson/ambassador for the Mid-South Transplant Foundation. Taylor is active in alumni activities at Christian Brothers High School and Christian Brothers University—frequently serving as a career coach and mentor for students and young alumni.

Outside of his professional and charitable work, Patrick enjoys running, coaching youth soccer, and snow skiing. He lives in Memphis with his wife, Robin Morehead Taylor, M.D., and his daughters – Charlotte (11), Mary Michael (7), and Eleanor (5).

“The Ave Maria family is thrilled to have Patrick Taylor join the team as our new Executive Director,” said Anna Vescovo, President, Ave Maria Board of Directors. “Patrick’s impressive education, experience, and dedication to our mission make him an excellent fit for Ave Maria. We are confident that he will help us reach new heights as we embark on a path towards even greater success in serving our residents and their families.”
