Tuesday Newsday: Covid-19 Update 4/15/20

Ave Maria Home, in conjunction with our sister facility, St. Clare Health and Rehab continues to monitor the always changing situation with COVID-19. We continue to follow the recommendations from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as well as the CDC. We are continuing to provide the love and concern for our residents. Our entire staff has been working diligently to ensure our resident’s safety and to keep the virus out. Though no plan is full proof, we have taken extreme measures to ensure our staff and residents are as safe as possible.
Our staff are being screened every shift and have been provided face masks and other coverings to ensure their safety as well as our residents. We are all practicing social distancing. There is no communal dining allowed. We continue to not allow any visitors. Only those individuals whose purpose is medically necessary are allowed. We are glad to assist our residents with FaceTime, Skype or other modes of communication so they can speak with family members. Family members will have to call us to arrange a time for this activity. Please contact our Social Services or Activity Department if needed. Deacon Jack continues to offer pastoral care to our residents in a very limited way. Ave Maria continues not to accept any items from the outside for our residents.
This is a difficult time for everyone. Please be assured that you all remain in our prayers and we are working diligently to keep our staff and residents healthy.
If we can answer any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Frank Gattuso
