Ave Maria Home, in conjunction with our sister facility, St. Clare Health and Rehab, continues to monitor the always changing situation with COVID-19.  We continue to follow the recommendations from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as well as the CDC.  We are continuing to provide the love and concern for our residents.

Per regulatory guidance, Ave Maria Home tested all residents and staff for COVID-19 this past Monday.  As of this writing, we have had 21 residents over the entire campus test positive, but all were a-symptomatic.  We have only had two staff members test positive. They have been scheduled off until they are able to return.  All our residents continue to be in isolation in their individual apartments and/or rooms.  The Shelby County Health Department reviewed our procedures to this point and determined we are performing all functions properly in order to keep COVID-19 under control.

This is a difficult time for everyone.  Please be assured that you all remain in our prayers and we are working diligently to keep our staff and residents healthy.  We continue to allow window visits for immediate family members, but again, no one is allowed inside any facilities here on the campus.

If we can answer any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at 901-701-5999.  Ave Maria continues to take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Sincerely,

Frank Gattuso
Executive Director
